Bringing Brazilian music to life in Costa Rica.
Francisco moved to Monteverde, Costa Rica in 2021and quickly integrated into the community through his work as a music educator and performer. He is the music teacher at the local primary school, The Cloud Forest School (Centro de Educación Creativa) and teaches the local samba bateria he founded, “Sambosque”, on Sunday afternoons at, Riochante, the local community and cultural center.
He brought with him more than two decades of experience and instruments that he accumulated through his multitute of Brazilian music projects in Colorado. Through his performances, lessons, team building drumming workshops and after school drumming programs he has introduced some of the rhythms, sounds and traditional samba instruments to Costa Rica.
